Im going to put a bunch of succulents around the bottom, and I'm hoping to put it in an open spot on my balcony thats super sunny with direct afternoon sun. So I'm thinking if I cut them and replant to create a bit of shade for the succulents it would be a good balance. And if I do cut it down, I'd stick the stumps in a smaller pot and see what happens. (Though where I've pruned the browning and yellowing leaves off, theres never any newgrowth, it just scabs over.)
Thoughts?

Most succulents love sun, so I would just add some more soil to the pot, plants the succs in there and see what happens 🪴
