    MORE light!

Fiddles in dark environments tend to put a lot more energy into growing taller trunks than the plant normally would. This is because the tree thinks it in a forest being shaded out by other trees. It races as fast as it can upwards to try to get to the light. This tactic works great in a forest and very poorly in a house.

So move it so that it’s smack in the middle of a VERY bright window. Then when the tree is growing nice and healthy again, consider giving it a good hard prune.
