    Fire. Burn it all. Cook the shit out of it with those team fortress 2 pyro flame thrower. Then amend the soil and replant with sod or throw your own seeds.
    Or make a 2 foot by 4 foot sifter, dig up the land 3 to 4 inches deep. Sifting out all the plant matter. Toss all the dirt back. Spread it, amend it and toss seed or sod on it.

    Flamethrower is sold at harbor freight with a decent hose. You’ll need a BBQ propane tank for the gas.

    You could lean into it and get clover ground cover. Grass is irritating, bad for the environment, and high maintenance

    I love the burning suggestion.

    As far as upkeep, I have trained myself to wander outside with a cup of coffee whenever possible. Once out there I pull any weeds that have gone to seed (like dandelions) and put them in the bin so that the seeds don’t get spread around.

    Then I usually get distracted by something happening in the neighborhood. It is good.
