Also, I‘ll probably put it in soil soon!

It’s really, really young, I’d avise against pruning again for a good while, it’s already spending a lot of energy on simply growing. Only put in soil if the roots are established enough!
Seems like it isn’t branching.
Is it getting enough sun and nutrients?
