The cacti grafted to the top of these Moon Cacti are albinos without chlorophyll unless purple(might need some verifying on this one) or variegated with bits of green in there. So these orange ones have no way to get energy from the sun without the green rootstock it was formerly attached to.

You can if you graft each one to a rootstock of some kind (people usually use hylocereus). By themselves they will die, though, as they have no chlorophyll.

No you need a host with chlorophyll
Those guys don’t produce enough on their own.
