Hi!
I found this jade branch lying on the road next to an enormous jade tree. In my dream world after it has callused more I would stick it in a good succulent mix which you lovely people and the bot have already taught me how to make.
My concern is that there are no nodes in this “trunk”. I could break it into more pieces and pull off lower leaves and probably have success but I am greedy and want it in the mature form it has. Would sticking it in soil without breaking anything off work?

Will work yep
Where are you located? I’m guessing California if it was growing near the road. I have larger specimens up for grabs if you can pick up or pay for shipping.
Absolutely yes! I’m jealous you just have them growing wild 😭 in Canada that’s basically impossible lol
I honestly don’t even let my props callus. I behead them and stick em in dirt but wait a few days to water. Darwinism – if they want to live they will root. Haven’t had it fail yet but if you want best chance of survival prob best to let it callus as the more experienced peeps have recommended.
You can also dust the end in rooting hormone powder (just make sure the end is damp if you do that) and stick it in some nice succulent mix 😊
The jade that I propped from a single leaf is slightly larger than the one you found. That took me almost 3 years. I’m jealous, good find
You literally cannot fail if you give it enough sun, and gritty enough dry enough soil
