The Fortuna Garden Club is offering two $2,000 scholarships to seniors in the Fortuna Union High School District who plan to attend either a community college or four-year university with intentions of majoring in a program related to agriculture, landscaping, botany, viticulture, horticulture or related fields.
The Fortuna Union High School District includes Fortuna High, East High, Independent Study and Academy of the Redwoods.
Student who apply must have a 3.0 GPA or higher. An official transcript and two letters of recommendation are also required.
Applications are available now from school counselors or agriculture teachers. Email the scholarship coordinator, Becky Giacomini, at beckygiacomini@yahoo.com, to have an application emailed to you.
