To graft watermelon onto pumpkin, prepare rootstock (pumpkin) and scion (watermelon) seedlings with one to two true leaves, sterilize your tools, and perform a splice or hole insertion graft by making matching cuts or holes to join the cut tissues. Secure the graft with a grafting clip, then place the grafted seedling in a high-humidity, low-light environment for 7–10 days to heal before gradually acclimating it to ambient conditions.

  2. My Grandad and Dad both grew watermelon plants that produced more than 2 fruit per plant! Sometimes as many as 6 or 8 per branch on every plant! Also some of the other farmers where I grew up produced the same! They were the juciest sweetest watermelon I've ever eaten in my entire life! I'm 64 now and miss my Dad's vegetable garden! The cantaloupe were also just as plentiful and tasteful as well! Without grafting anything! I grew up in Southern Arizona in the desert! I believe farming is an art long lost to commercialism and this need to try to improve on something that was perfect to begin with! And the result is sub-par produce that costs more to produce and purchase!
That's just my opinion and I don't respond to replies on my comments!
