Hey all, kind of freaking out here, hope someone can help.
I've had my monstera for about 6 years and she's been doing awesome up until now. But due to some underwatering (I think, usually she needs so little in the winter I guess I just underdid it) some of her older leaves started browning on the tips and now the new bud looks like it's going to die before it even gets a chance to unfurl.
My question is what do I do now? Where will the next new leaf come from? Do I have to do anything or do I just correct my watering and let it continue on? I'm so sad and I feel like I've failed her and killed my plant.
Any help is appreciated, thanks everyone.

I chopped while my top leaf had something brewing unknowingly.
It took a long time for it to come out because it has to grow roots and all that, but when it did, the leaf was dead, but growth resumed as normal.
If your whole top growth is dead, it’ll grow from its top axillary bud most likely. I think it’s more likely just going to resume growth with a dead leaf popping out.
Just get back to watering it properly. I bet the next leaf is fine under the cataphyll
She’s still gorgeous and trust me, she will recover
