The leaves used to prop were quite etiolated, so I decided to save them all and keep any that work out.
Well. They all worked out. They root super aggressively and then put out at least 1, but often a whole litter of pups on one leaf.
Where would be a good place to unload the army I've accidentally created? I would hate to throw them out, but I've found selling smaller plants on Facebook marketplace is pretty hit or miss, the bigger plants usually sell no problem 😬 I don't have the space to grow out hundreds of plants to 4" sadly.
I'm in BC Canada. There is an awesome succulent nursery down the road from me…. I don't exactly want to give these away for free but maybe I could ask if they'd want them, bare root ofc, for a store credit or something??? Would that be rude?

Eeek! Looking for remedies for pest infestations? Check out the **[Pests, Diseases, and Other Problems wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/succulents/wiki/pests_and_diseases/)**. You will find varying treatment options, which may include Isopropyl Alcohol, Horticultural Oil, Horticultural Soap, Pesticides/Systemics, or a combination of said treatments.
Concerned you have pests, but aren’t sure what they are? See the links below for actual pictures of the pests in question on BugGuide.net to help you figure it out.
**[Aphids](https://bugguide.net/index.php?q=search&keys=aphids&search=Search)** come in either green or black or red/brown. **[Mealybugs](https://bugguide.net/index.php?q=search&keys=mealybug)** are white or gray, and appear fuzzy. **[Scale insects](https://bugguide.net/index.php?q=search&keys=scale+insect)** present as uniform shaped raised bumps, that can generally be picked off without damage to the plant. **[Fungus gnats](https://bugguide.net/index.php?q=search&keys=fungus+gnat&search=Search)** are small black flying insects. On their own, they’re not harmful, but can be in large infestations. **[Thrips](https://bugguide.net/index.php?q=search&keys=thrips)** are very small, and long and skinny. **[Spider mites](https://bugguide.net/index.php?q=search&keys=Tetranychidae)** are microscopically small, and are usually present in large numbers and webbings. Don’t mistake red spiders for spider mites, spiders are helpful, and will eat bad pests! **[Flat Mites](https://bugguide.net/index.php?q=search&keys=Tenuipalpidae+&search=Search)** are microscopic and cannot be seen with the naked eye. Damage will appear as a burn-like appearance on either the leaf margin or where the leaf connects to the stem; and can be present on the stem as well. Damage examples can be found [linked in our Pest wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/succulents/wiki/pests_and_diseases/#wiki_false_spider_mites.2C_aka_flat_mites).
Harmless bugs are often in soil. For example, **[Springtails](https://bugguide.net/index.php?q=search&keys=Springtails&search=Search)** or **[Orobatid Mites](https://bugguide.net/index.php?q=search&keys=Oribatida&search=Search)** are often in soils and just eat decaying organic matter. They do not hurt living plants.

Not to be rude but they aren’t really worth much as is.. if you want to have them grow more, put in a pot, you can sell them for maybe 15-20 each. Maybe as is, $5 on marketplace for 10 or so
I would assume there are regulations around who the business buys from…probably for tax purposes, to help verify specimen health and provenance, etc.
Maybe list them on marketplace as groups or flats of pups? (And then slightly under-price them, lol?)
I’d say maybe try a plant swap…but not sure that would *solve* the problem, per se 😅
You are not alone in your struggles 😅 I have sooo many moonstone babies because I tried planting seeds and now I have about 50 baby plants 😳
I give my babies away as gifts when they behave like this. Birthdays, new house owners, friends etc. And when I really run out of space I leave them at work with a “Free!” sign.😉
Maybe you could sell them to a local farmers market vendor
Might be a reach but worth the try since its the season farmers markets start to pop up 😀
Unfortunately there’s an international border in the way or I’d try to figure out how to pick up a few from you….
If selling is tough, list for free on a neighborhood group. Put a few in a baggie with a damp paper towel and leave on a shelf outside.
Ultimately we all trim things that could be propagated and have to face facts of throwing some out.
you can send them to me! 😁
Great, now I want chicken wings.
*seriously though, why does this look like raw chicken?*
Can we mail plants back and forth from Canada to US? Genuinely asking, cuz idk.
If so, I’ll trade ya something? Lol
I saw a picture here recently of a big saucer planter, with perfectly lined up circles of rosettes, pecan pie or something? It looked stunning, stuffed with them. You could make arrangements like that to save room? Idk. Just trying to think of something, since apparently we can’t trade across US/CAN border… and I hate throwing them away too, lol
