I have two jars this size that have aquatic plants and emersed houseplants and snails living in them. I do periodically scrub algae off the glass with a toothbrush that is reserved for aquarium/jarrarium use, but as you can see, I never get it all lol. The algae may be unsightly, but it is food for the snails, so I don't mind too much.

Ohhh this is cool as fuck. Sorry if this is a stupid question but do have issues with the snails crawling out of the jar?
Just curious if emersed is a valid alternative spelling to immersed?
