I imagined that the development of a Pachira aquatica (Money tree) stem would resemble the opening of an umbrella in a smooth motion but look how the young set of leaves opens and closes with the day/night change. Also notice how this open/close motion begins once the leaves have reached a certain size. 📷 2) Remember this journey the next time you look at those baby money tree leaves, seemingly frozen in time.
