My pothos has lost about 5-6 leaves in the last 3 weeks. They’ve been scattered throughout the plant and on various strands. Looks like a couple more are turning yellow now. I got the plant about a month ago and repotted it. Been watering every other week. I watered yesterday and the water ran out of the drainage hole almost instantly and soil doesn’t feel moist anymore. Should I get fertilizer and a different kind of soil? I’m using the miracle grow indoor plant soil right now.
Not sure what to do and want to save the plant! Other than the leaves falling off it seems sturdy.

Most likely either a soil/watering issue or a light issue. My pothos start to lose leaves when I have them in a place thats not getting enough light. It wouldn’t hurt to repot with better soil. They like chunky, well draining soil. If you dont want to make your own you can buy regular potting soil and then get some extra perlite or orchid bark to put in to improve drainage. You could just keep the soil you have and add some amendments for drainage. When you fix the soil, check the roots too. Check for root rot, dry rot. Cut off any bad roots, roots that are mushy or stringy.
If the leaves aren’t drooping, I’d tend to believe the issue is more due to not getting enough light. If available, put it near or in a west facing window!
