The Thom Multiplying Onion is my favorite type of onion to grow. An heirloom variety that has been grown for many generations! This particular strain derives from Thomas County, Ga. Once established, you will never have to buy them again! Just split them and replant! What's your favorite type of onion to grow?

These seem somewhat similar to what we used to grow as Walking Onions, some people called them Egyptian Walking Onions.
I grow tons of potato onions. Each one planted splits off to 3-8 usable bulbs.
Do they taste like regular yellow bulbing onion or more sharp like scallions?
For some reason I used to have good luck growing onions and bad luck the last couple years. I’ve started from seed (indoors and transplanted) and bought sets….just not sure what I’m doing..or not doing. Maybe it’s my choice of onions!
