Is it okay to stick right into water like this immediately after taking a clipping

I bought my philodendron Brasil believing it to be a pothos, too! Now, I have a lovely, large, healthy plant! Yes, popping this into water will work. I noticed that using an opaque container has been helpful versus a clear one, but that’s just my anecdotal evidence. Enjoy your new plant! You even have a new leaf about ready to show itself!
I found that philos root better in moist, really gritty soil with something transparent to cover for humidity.
