I transplanted onions I grew from seed to my raised garden bed 6 weeks ago, but some have fallen over and are growing sideways. Should I put more soil around the stem to give it more support? When I planted, I tried to expose as much of the stem as possible, as I understood that this would help with bulbing later. Thanks!

It happens and I won’t worry about it.

Onion stems are very tender. When planted commercially they usually sow annual rye over the top so the rye stops the wind from doing just what you have here. Then once they get a bit more sturdy they kill the rye.

Also as I weed it exposes more of the stem and if I get wild and knock over I will add more soil. So you can add more and straighten them up a bit also.
