  1. This guy is awesome and the best advice but I think soil got lost in translation here, use a good POTTING mix. Soil has clay particles that will fall to the bottom of the pot and make it clog up. Potting mix is pure compost basically and will remain a free draining media to keep the roots healthy. ❤

  2. I agree with this information. I am working in nurseries 20 plus years. I would water every day in summer. Roses are THIRSTY!

  3. Air pockets are good, roots need water, nutrients, and AIR. Compacted soil with no air flow suffocates roots. If you want healthy plants, you want healthy roots.
