I decided to sprout a garlic clove in a wet paper towel, about a week ago. It has since grown a bunch of roots and began to grow out of the top!

Get it in the ground! My garlic is sprouting without any help at all….its that time of year when it just wants to grow:)

I’ve had the best luck (zone 4b) by planting it in late October and harvesting in July. Probably depends on your climate and what variety you are planting. I always grow hard neck varieties and my climate gets pretty darn cold. Right now it’s -5F but my Russian red garlic is sleeping peacefully under a thick mulch of pine needles and will be the first thing to pop up come Spring.

It’s Garlic ? I thought it was a onion, we have onions that look like these here in Nepal.
