I was gifted a composting bin of the pictured type (I'm too lazy to go take a photo in this freezing weather) and there's really no way to turn/mix it without having it avalanche everywhere when you lift off the shell.
I filled it pretty much up when I got it as it's my first, and layered as well as I possibly could with small branches/large twigs in three or four layers spread through it, to leave room for air.
I'm aware they won't break down much, but I don't mind just raking them out when it's done.
Is that going to be good enough?
Any advice on what else to do?
