With the return of the cold weather, Iowa State Extension and Outreach of Dallas County encourages residents to think ahead to spring.

Horticulture & Conservation Program Educator Megan Will says the extension will host Garden Goals from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Perry Learning Center, 1122 Willis Avenue, Perry.

She adds that participants can join instructor Sarah Wood for a guided garden journaling program to help them set intentions or new plants that they want to try growing this year.

Will details that the program is for everyone, whether they grow vegetables, flowers or both. She encourages participants to bring their favorite notebook.

While the class is free, registration is required. For more information, click here.
