There are plenty all across our county to explore

Winter walks can be full of beauty from icicles to frosty leaves, wildlife to misty fields there is a lot to take in. Although most flowers don’t start showing up until the weather gets warmer, there’s one very beautiful flower that will be starting to bloom very soon, snowdrops.
Gardens full of snowdrops and other special winter flowers are opening across Essex this February. Once we are through the shortest days of the winter, the desire to get out and visit some gardens often arises – especially when there is such a range of gardens and plants to enjoy!
These are the gardens in Essex opening to the public from 7 February for the National Garden Scheme, when money raised through admissions and the sale of tea, cake and plants will go to nursing and health charities.
