I watched a YouTube video that said to scrape off some of the dry covering on the top half and then pop it in a little water. And it said to put them under a dome… I have it under a grow light, but the dome is kinda opaque and I'm not sure it's smart to cover it. Also it said to pop them into soil once they produce a leaf, but one of the corms already had a leaf when I took it out of the mother plant's pot. And now I'm unsure if to keep it in water still. They both have rather long roots already- when should I transition into soil?

What plant is it? A Calla Lily?
Zantedeschia?
You could transition from water to moss and then to soil, if that’s going to be the end game substrate.
