Finally retired my dying string of pearls. Took all the still-alive strands from her and did a couple things. I took some cuttings and stuck them in water (pic 2), but it’s been a week and still no roots. I found a couple strands that still had possibly-saveable roots (i was having trouble figuring out what was root rot and what was still good roots in the og plants) and put them in one of the pots in pic 1. Then I laid some other cuttings on top of the soil of another pot in pic 1, but haven’t seen any progress with this method. I also got two new starter SOPs (pic 3), though I’m not sure when to move them out of their nursery pots into my terracotta pots, esp since they’re much skinnier than the pots I have. Any advice or things it looks like I’m doing wrong?

I do not put them in water. I just put them on the soil and they start to grow.
