I’ve had this brasil/brazil philodendron for about 7 years. I repotted it for the first time when I moved about 2 years ago and it has been losing leaves in this new house since. My props aren’t super successful for it now either. I can’t seem to find if it’s a pH, fertilizer, water thing, or a sun thing. It is a south facing window. It’s previously been in less light. Anyone have ideas? They become weak/deprecated and turn yellow and brown. It’s still actively growing at each vine too, but losing leaves in the middle.

The vines are far too long for the plant to support. In nature it would put out adventitious roots to feed the length of the vine with moisture and nutrients.
If the plant can’t feed itself it cannibalizes lower leaves in order to put out new growth at the tips.
In it’s current state, with increased light, 12 inches would be reasonable.
It needs serious pruning and it’s definitely not getting enough light.
The good news is that you can take cuttings and propagate.
Girlll trim it back. It’s showing how unhappy with as long and bare stems as it’s given you. Have you checked its roots? Maybe it doesn’t like being in a south window?
