ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) – More than 50 Albany residents gathered at an Olive Garden restaurant Saturday to protest after an ICE agent shot and killed Renee Good in Minneapolis.

The demonstration took place at the Olive Garden location on North Westover Boulevard and Dawson Road.

Organizer Tim Wesselman said the group opposes dangerous enforcement tactics.

“We support enforcing the law, but we do not support doing it in a way that is dangerous,” Wesselman said.

City leaders participated in the protest.

Commissioner Diana Brown said she felt compelled to participate in the protest.

“I feel a need to protest because my son is in the military and going to war, and peace needs to be all over the fifty states,” Brown said.
