The Boston Celtics host one of the NBA’s best teams — the San Antonio Spurs — for a much-anticipated showdown at TD Garden on Saturday night.
Both teams are in second place in their respective conferences. The Celtics are 8-2 in their last 10 games, including a win over the Toronto Raptors on Friday night.
The Spurs are led by superstar center Victor Wembanyama, but Celtics fans are also excited for Luke Kornet’s return to Boston. Kornet spent the last three-plus seasons with the Celtics, including their 2023-24 title-winning campaign. He signed with the Spurs last summer as a free agent.
Kornet was a fan favorite and should get a nice ovation Saturday night.
