  2. How refreshing to see someone elseโ€™s messy reality! Thank you! I just dragged my grow table into the living room, found the leek seeds, ordering onion seeds. I have been wondering exactly this. Now, my greenhouse had some pest and mold issues last year.
We only had one good cold snap, probably not enough to kill everything off. Any suggestions? Zone 5 in Southern Interior B.C.
    Comparable to Spokane, WA.

  3. Great information! I have onions started inside at the moment, but I believe I will do some and put in my greenhouse as well. I have started flowers that way but have not done vegetables that way but going to start.

  4. Nice transformation Gary! Ready to use now! Iโ€™m putting together my new grow rack and planning my seed starting today.

  5. I love this video. Just 3 days ago planted for the first time in unheated greenhouse. Wished I saw this first! Very helpful. Made my own soil but did not add fertilizer yet. What do you recommend? Also in zone 7, which white and reds are easiest to grow? Thank you!

  6. I have created a mobile hoop house which I vertically grow my indeterminate tomatoes in. This spring, I plan to move it over where I grew potatoes last year because it gets more mid to late day sun. Where the covered hoop house is now, I'm thinking of planting these winter sewn crops, but directly in the ground. Another option is to directly sew them in other beds with much lower covered hoops, like 1-2 ft height. My biggest issue with onions is getting them transplanted in time. This way, I can avoid that. Will this work, too, in CO, 5a?

  7. I bought 2 little greenhouse lights and installed them under a table in the bedroom. I'm reusing cardboard egg flats. I planted Rutgets tomatoes in one and marigolds, dill and peppers in another. I would turn off the lights when I went to bed. That wasn't enough darkness. We wouldn't be home one night so I didn't turn on the lights. When we got home, 19 tomatoes and 2 peppers had sprouted!. Now I turn the lights off at dark.
Yesterday I transplanted the dill into a pot and planted eggplant there. Then I replanted the marigolds because only 4 had true leaves. Then I started another flat for Amish Paste tomatoes. Yes, the whole flat. I can a lot of tomatoes.
Here in S MS, my garden has onions, garlic, beets, carrots and collards. I've been covering potatoes with cardboard boxes and landscape fabric every time it turns cold. I don't have a good stand of potatoes, carrots or beets. I want to replant them when the moon is waning next cycle, February 2-16. I hope to plant English peas the end of this month.
All of my peppers are in pots. I hide them from frost and freeze in an old tent. They love it! I'm in a hurricane area so I'm afraid of getting a greenhouse. Thinking about making a cold frame or three..

  8. This video is making me excited for spring g panting. Tho im still enjoying eating all the greens and brassicas.

  9. I live in Middleton De. and you are my go to for gardening. Love your channel. I'll be following this year, going to be great.๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€
