Hello friends, here’s a little glimpse of my weekend in the garden and what’s growing right now. I hope you are having fun getting the rest of your summer vegetables into your gardens.
Thank you so much for watching!

The rain was absolutely insane here luckily no large hail but I had rivers running through the property
We got huge and ferocious hail in town!!! Rhubarb and zucchinis full of holes but hopefully will recover.
Looking good! I've turned the water off our 1st section of spuds today, probably dig them up in a couple of weeks once they dry off. Yes, one of my biggest problems is Black Birds that dig everything up (think I've mentioned them before & about the guards I make for the seedlings out of cheap gutter guard & thin bamboo for sticks). They get into the mulch I'm sure chasing worms which we have lots of, but they tend to keep the other lovely birds away, like the lorikeets, maggies etc (we have a family of maggies that usually come into the back yard, I've even trained our dog to leave them alone but they steer clear when the Black birds are around taring up the garden! (funnily no Black Birds this morning & the maggies arrived 😊) You'll have to find a name for the poppies! The storm missed us here over the border, it went South of us. Still catching up from the hot day last week with 3 more days this week forecast as being being hot, 1 over 40Deg so we'll so how we fair. Hopefully it doesn't get that hot where you are.
Always fascinating to see what can thrive in a cool Zone 9B summer 🌱 It makes me curious how these crops adapt and perform as the season moves forward.

Pink dandys flowered finally. Hopefully pink n white on your way sooish
For a mullin tincture I always use fresh plant. Chop a little for more exposed surface area of the mullin leaves. Fill jar with vodka . Let sit for 6 to 8weeks in a warm dark area.
For mullin oil, dry leaves fully and pour oil over leaves in a jar in a warm dark place strain after 6 -8 weeks.
I love the use of bottles and milk packages for protecting the plants. Nice!
Hello Amy, just found you, I was looking to replant celery, so I'll follow up with your instructions, thank you so much, Regards Bill – Gold Coast Queensland 👌🥳 👩🌾
