    Do yourself a favor and get a hydrant style system, it will be the last one you replace. You can add shut off to it if you like. But are anti freeze and can remove the attachments any time. Did it 4 years ago and never again had to replace.

    I think the thing attached to the spigot and leaking is a screw on backflow preventer.
