Been eyeing this big banyan Tiger Bark, I'm getting quoted $850 for it. Not super well versed on how to value trees, so wanted to ask for some opinions from the group. I know that Microcarpas are not valued very highly in general, but wondering if the trunk and aerial roots here justify the higher price?

Thanks in advance!

I think $850 is a bit steep but equally I think they’ll find a buyer at that price if they want to wait.

I think it’s a beautiful tree, and value is in the eye of the beholder. $800 to me might mean something different than to you.

That being said, I’d be more comfortable paying $500 for this tree. Maybe $600 if I saw it in-person and fell in love.

Personally I prefer one tree with a thick trunk versus several “forest” style, so I’d be looking for something more like that.

I wouldn’t pay more than 100 bucks for this. The quality is just not there.
