The Garden House in Banham will start serving customers from Friday after a major overhaul.
The village pub, which was previously called The Smoke House, was taken over in October after it closed in August.

New tenant Rosie Walpole said: “We are reopening the pub with a renewed emphasis on great food, excellent local ales and a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere.
“From the outset, the focus will be on creating a place where families, friends and neighbours can come together to enjoy quality food and drink in relaxed surroundings.”

The pub will initially open for drinks on Friday, with food service starting on January 16.
To mark the reopening, Bill Downs will perform live music from 7pm on opening night and street food will be available.
“The bar will showcase a strong range of local ales, alongside beers, wines, soft drinks and family-friendly options, while the kitchen will focus on hearty, comforting pub food, cooked properly and served generously once full food service begins,” Ms Walpole said.

Managers Natasha and Leah are managing the site on a day-to-day basis, alongside head chef Will, whose passion for crowd-pleasing pub food has inspired the menu.
The team has also spoken of the support of pub owner Barry Tunmore, who has owned the site since 1969 and whose encouragement throughout the process has played a key role in bringing the pub back to life.

Ms Walpole added: “With its reopening, The Garden House aims to once again become a true hub for the village — a pub where families feel welcome, locals can enjoy a great pint, and everyone can sit down to a proper meal.
“We are very much looking forward to welcoming everyone back.”
