We’re getting to see a lot of interesting stuff at CES 2026. Joining that league is Senso, which is a smart, gamified plant sensor. The Tamagotchi-like device uses AI to improve plant care and offers detailed information about the environment of houseplants. This innovative tech will also track soil moisture, temperature, and sunlight data in real time. It supports most plants and accessories, and turns everyday plant care into an intuitive experience.

The Senso smart plant sensor is an innovative device for plant care

There’s a pixel-like creature that delivers AI insights. It awakens once you place the sensor in the soil. If your plant needs light adjustments or water, the virtual pet will give you tasks to complete those requirements. Once users complete daily and weekly plant care missions, they can collect rewards and unlock new characters. Making the experience more intuitive.

The smart sensor has a modular design with different depth options. Multiple sensors for multiple plants can be combined. The built-in AI and accompanying app adapt and provide accurate readings across different plant species and pot types.

It’ll launch on Kickstarter soon

Furthermore, the Senso app can also identify plants and detect potential diseases from a photograph. It also allows users to directly ask the device for caretaking advice. This can be really useful, especially for those who are just beginning their gardening journey. However, the company is only showing off Senso at CES 2026. It’ll launch on Kickstarter in the near future. There’s no pricing for the tech at the moment.
