EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Mesker Park Zoo officials say they had record breaking attendance numbers in 2025.
According to zoo officials, the zoo welcomed approximately 229,278 guests in 2025.
Officials say attendance growth was driven in part by the launch of Wild Summer Lights, a new evening lantern festival that ran from mid-August through the first weekend in October.
They say Wild Summer Lights sold 50,000 tickets and drew strong crowds during traditionally slower late-summer and early-fall months.
Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden is open seven days a week, 365 days per year, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
