a pair of glasses and less distance later- tiny red globules of liquid. did not know they did, or could, do that, directly from/on the spadix.
for context, this is on a potless moss pole, now has a 'crown' of 8 flowers, that ones #5 to open, iirc. it and all my sawtooths are flowering like crazy, and drinking water like crazy. close to 2 yrs. old (feb/mar '24). 2nd (whole plant) pic is from a few weeks earlier-you can see a diff flower blooming
