Typically he’s burrowed down in the dirt and pops out when I water or move them. I don’t mind letting him hangout as long as it’s no harm to the plants!

I have 3 different plumeria trimmings and he moves around between the 3 it’s kind of fun

I hear it is a good sign if a toad moves in!

Adopt it as a pet and train it to steal wallets

If he doesn’t eat the plant I can’t see a problem. He might even help with pest control.

We have 2 toads! Paco and Big Back Bri(an). I was too told to let them be – they eat pests.

Their favorite hobby is the scare the absolute bejeebus out of me by burying themselves half way in different pots.

None. Frogs and toads generally are sensitive to toxin and such so try not to spray any. He’ll help with insect control and they’re just cool!

You end up with a freeloader is the only downside. He can pay up by eating gnats. Also I wouldn’t move him if I were you, bro looks like he bought the house and YOU’RE freeloading

I like em. Good pest control, but don’t lick one to get high.

  8. Honestly, if I were the plant I think I would be more sad without my cute buddy

Kinda cute just hanging out there lol

The roots are probably all towards the bottom of the pot so toad likely isn’t disturbing anything by digging around at the surface

There should be no harm to the plant roots has it can only burrow through loose soil . If you’re worried just provide it with a similar sized pot filled with soil and as moist as the pot he prefers to burrow in . It’s a good pest hunter and will help protect your plants from insects and slugs, except for mealy bug’s .

Lucky, toads are a good sign of a good ecosystem

Had one move into a potted plant. That was two years ago. Still living with us and is now a part of the family. Tree frog though.

  14. I called all of ours Frank. There was BIG Frank, little Frank, and multiple Frank Franks.

Everything was fine till Big Frank somehow got inside the house and scared the crap outta me! The cats were somehow nonplussed.

  15. Any cranberries nearby?

If not, it means it’ll be an early spring. If so, it means it must be fall.

  16. I had one in my plants over the summer. He did kill a few seedlings by digging them up, so I made him his own spot in a seed tray. They don’t usually dig down very far unless they’re hibernating, which he won’t be able to do in a pot anyway.

So lucky!! I’ve wanted a potted toad for so long!!

Get him a ceramic mushroom and some fairy figurines to keep him company. (Really tie the room together)

Built-in fertilization! Perks are awesome! (fresh only!)

Must be his home. There may be side effects,ei: less bugs. Always good! Not harmful

“Yeah, I’m a fucking frog, you gotta problem with that?”
