Toll hike to take effect soon on New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway

TRENTON, N.J. (WPVI) — New Jersey drivers will see an increase on two of the state’s largest toll roads in the new year.

Starting next Monday, January 5, the toll on both the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway will go up by three percent.

It’s the 5th hike since 2020.

Also on Monday, the Atlantic City Expressway will convert to all electronic toll collection.

Drivers will either need to pay using EZ-Pass or be billed by their license plate.
