My plant (and me) are confused, why are the roots growing up?


Hey friends, as per title. Why are these roots not growing down in to the soil? Does it even matter? Did I get confused and place it upside down? 😂

Pretty sure the one to the left has some roots, I gave it a tug and something’s stopping it from coming up. It’s from the same plant as well and placed the same way.

    I would sprinkle a little soil on the exposed roots. No idea why it does this

    It’ll be fine, they send roots out all directions in search of water. Once it establishes sufficient roots for you to give it a drink it’ll grow more or less the right direction and the air roots will die back.
