The Seven Oaks Garden Club recently sponsored its inaugural U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots drive in conjunction with the Seven Oaks Community Center.
The club in Rancho Bernardo exceeded its goal of filling two large boxes with toys.
The Seven Oaks Garden Club, established 61 years ago, is the longest standing club in Seven Oaks.
It meets monthly at noon on the first Wednesday to hear from educational speakers about caring for plants, trees and overall gardening tasks. It also organizes an annual garden tour, field trips along with craft and plant sales.
