All found during my return to neighbourhood walks, after a decade virtually housebound:
- Calendula
- Dahlia – these are so varied and robustly pretty.
- Edging Candytuft
- Oriental poppy (seed pod, stigmatic Disc, stamen)
About me, re-exploring neighbourhood and back garden nature after a decade virtually housebound with ME/CFS;
I've been sharing daily, since late April, my enthusiastic amateur phone and old SLR camera pics with my existing friends, in the chronic illness communities of other social media. Under the "BloomScrolling" tag. I've just discovered this community and figured it might be nice to post a recap of some of my favourite shots from my unprecedented year of exploring the suburban beauty that's been inaccessible all around me. Here in the UK.
I have barely had the energy to go for a walk up my parent's lovely garden, since a previous remission in 2013 tapered off. But I've been implementing a lot of new self-treatment interventions since mid-2024, and hoping my improvements stick. Please search "MEpedia public primer", if you're not familiar with this woefully neglected disease.
