I was gifted echeveria offsets last month, prior to which I had no idea echeveria even existed, and I definitely didn't know how to care for them. Thanks to this sub and everyone's knowledge I quickly learned that the potting soil, pot, and light I had them in was ALL incorrect and was likely to kill my plant (I'm much more used to citrus and other vegetable/fruit/herbs). I was able to make the switch to more appropriate conditions and yesterday when I went to repot them (having found an even better pot) I found new root growth! I know I'm not out of the woods yet, but thank you all for giving my plants a fighting chance.
Also, the species/variety of these were not shared with me and I think it might be Echeveria elegans, but if someone recognizes it and knows for sure, I would greatly appreciate confirmation/correction.

Yay! That’s wonderful 🙂
It looks like elgans but not exactly… So I did a little research and I think its Echeveria ‘J.C. Van Keppel’ (sometimes sold as Echeveria ‘Ivory’). A direct hybrid of Echeveria elegans and Echeveria agavoides.
But I also could be wrong lol. I grow Elgans and I think it has slightly more rounded leaves and slightly more green and less pale. Nice cutting btw! Sounds like its in good hands.
