Hello! I’m working on getting an arborist out to take a look at this tree, but thought I would look for advice here in the meantime.

I apologize for the pictures. I tried to capture the tree as best as I could. This tree is on my neighbors property.

I’m concerned about the health of this tree. It sways heavily in the wind, and is leaning towards and above my house. At times it has made popping noises when swaying.

I reached out to the county on the issue, and with it being on private property they said they will not intervene. Me and said neighbor are not on speaking terms. A few years ago, on the 4th of July, I was physically assaulted by them when I confronted them about the proximity of their fireworks to the roof of my house. I’m thinking of leaving a letter for them voicing my concerns about the tree but I am not optimistic on hearing back or seeing any action on the issue. Their entire property is very overgrown and not maintained.

I am obviously not an arborist and I would just like to know if from my (poor) pictures you guys see anything about the tree that would cause alarm.
