Mistletoe is a parasitic plants that grows in tree canopies like this.

And it’s an evergreen that takes years to grow. A nice thick ball is probably over 20 years old. Birds who eat the berries carry around the seeds to other trees. Very cool, Im low-key obsessed with the joy of seeing it around.

My stepson used to climb trees, get the mistletoe, tie it up with red ribbon, and stand outside the grocery store, selling it.

He sold soooo much of it.
