Hello all my plants friends ! I am looking for advice for curtains? I really don’t want to remove my plant hangers across my windows or maybe there’s a nicer way to do it but I think I need some curtains or something to soften up my living room? Thoughts? Yes I kno some of my lights are not on but trying to make my living flow more w my green babies – thank you!!

Following! I’m wondering the same question.

Also, can you share what you’re using to hang your plants from? They look very sturdy and that’s something I’d like in my place

So pretty! Your dog is a cutie, too. Would it be possible to put curtains in between the plants? Not sure if that would look weird or not. The only other suggestion is to just make a curtain of plants. Problem solved!

ok picture this – one of those cute split curtain rods where plants hang in the middle and curtains frame the sides. keeps the plant babies and adds that softness you’re looking for.

  4. maybe try sheer curtains that can hang behind your plants? lets light through but still softens the room vibe without messing with your hangers.

    Hi 👋
Yeah maybe hang some semi sheer or semi sheer linen curtains and just keep them open to the sides…so you get the comfy look but wont stop the light from getting in and you still get to always see the lovely plants🤩 they’re all so beautiful.

Some serious hardware. Did you put in the hanger rods above the windows as a kit or is all that from separate pipe lengths and fittings? Also, those flush mount pot holders in the corner, are those an item that Lowe’s or Home Depot sells or do you have a web link to buy those?

Good news! You can get curtain rods with adjustable depth – meaning you can determine how close or far from the window/wall you want them. In terms of fabric, I’d go with something pale and single color. Something minimal in style, rather than with fancy valances, to complement rather than distract from the (beautiful) plants.

You may need to move the plant rods higher to accommodate curtain rods, but I really think you can make it work.

  8. How far out from the window is your piping? I’m thinking you could maybe use a T instead of an elbow on each end and extend the piping to accommodate curtains. Your plants could still hang in the middle with curtains on each end of the T. But if it’s too far out it may look funny. In that case you could still use the T, extend the piping with another elbow back around to the wall with another flange and curve the curtain on it. Hope that all makes sense. If not, let me know and I’ll try to sketch it out.

I have a very similar setup with rods and blinds and honestly I love the more minimal look! I think it looks cozy with the woodstove and rug already but more textiles like pillows or blankets could add more softness

I have cafe curtains across one window – plants are hanging from a bar across the top of the window, and then the cafe curtains cover the bottom half of the window. It looks cute and is a good mix of full light for the plants and privacy for me!

I just installed some banded shades that alternately block or filter sun. Or I can raise them all the way up to allow full sun
