I had bid for Hunter's 'Grape Fizz' on Ebay a few months ago, it only recently bloomed and… it looks nothing like Hunter's 'Grape Fizz' (second pic for reference, credit).
Seller is trying to tell me this is the first bloom cycle and that it takes a few bloom cycles to get their true color… but can African Violets also change their flower shape?
P.S., yes I know it's a little dehydrated. I've been having a hard time keeping all my plants watered as of late!

I can’t stand when sellers won’t admit they mislabeled. While it can happen, this bloom style is completely different from the pic. And not in a sported way. Just mislabeled. My two cents.
Yeah, yours is very pretty, but nothing like the second picture. Sounds like the seller is giving you a runaround to buy time and then you will have lost your opportunity to ask for a refund. The buyer is usually protected within a certain time frame.
I am not an expert, but I love plant you have. I only have five and none are as beautiful as yours. And, I love mine.
Wow. I’ve had violets go through several bloom cycles and have not changed, or changed very little. Your blooms are beautiful, even though it is not what you expected. I have not purchased any from eBay sellers.
