Hello! My friend just gave me this snake plant (I believe that's what this is?). She just plucked it out of her pot and handed it to me. Should I just put her in soil or would you recommend I start her in water? I'd also appreciate the type of soil to use. I have zero experience with plants. Thank you.

  1. Just put into soil. You could also cut it into 4 or 5 pieces and stick them all into soil. I just use regular potting soil. They are hardy. You won’t see the new plant growing up next to it for a long while, but it will come. It’s a great first plant. Good luck and enjoy. Also there’s lots of info online about plants and videos too.
