Upgraded from a Gatorade bottle to a Hawaiian punch bottle gas tank. Maybe someday I'll get around to cleaning the gunk out of the tank and hooking it back up correctly.

Not sure if this would work but have you considered using gum out or some other fuel injection cleaner solution?
My buddy had a Honda 50 dirtbike he would drive off a ramp into a pond. Couple oil changes and a bit of cranking and itd be running great again. Hard to kill a small Honda engine.
Lot of trash around.
