I got this beautiful flowering jade a few days ago and am wondering when I should water it for the first time? It is dry (not shrivelling) but I don’t want to throw it off any more and risk disrupting the blooming process.
Generally i would say best time for watering is when leaves start to turn bit wrinkly, but when there are flowers things might be bit different. I’d let it wrinkle a bit though, just to be sure. *C. ovata* is otherwise simple plant to care for, but is extremely prone to rotting when watered too often.
PS; It looks gorgeous!

Don’t rush, ades like slow, steady conditions. Wait 3–5 days, then water deeply once.
