Bought this beauty, Maeve, at a grocery store a couple months back. She was very helpfully/s labeled “potted plant”. Plant ID apps either tell me it’s a nettle (lol, 100% sure it’s not) or don’t even see it there.

Can anyone here help me get more specific than “trailing sedum”? Leaves are flat and a little bit sparkly, no more than 3/4 inch long; stems thin and very brittle, break off easily at nodes (srsly this plant is messy), longest stems are close to two feet long (so far); cuttings root very readily in water and semi-hydro. Not sure what other maybe-useful info can’t be gained from the photos…questions welcome, ideas or definite ID appreciated.

Also…am wanting to put a companion plant in there to fill in the top a bit. Something visually distinct but complimentary, low-ish upright growth habit, that doesn’t need quite as much light. Suggestions there would be very welcome.

I think it’s Sedum ‘Little Missy’. As far as a companion, just make sure whatever you add has the same care needs as Little Missy

Crassula petite bicolor, commonly misidentified as sedum.

Sedum lineare Needle Stonecrop makes a good ground cover or spiller in a combo pot.
