looks like a plum? could you squish one to see if there’s a pit?
Might also be a crabapple — would help to see a picture of the leaves up close
It looks like a crabapple. Is there a smaller tree around, with fruit still on it? The tree in the pic looks way too big to be a crabapple tree. If it’s a crabapple, your pup is fine – crabapples are perfectly edible. If he ate a lot, it might give an upset tummy but just a bite wouldn’t have any effect.
side note: if you find the tree and can pick crabapples from it, they’re amazing in pies and coffee cake.
