I was always a fan of African Violets as a child, and my mom (2 years gone now) kept one. She was very good with plants. But I’d never taken care of any plants by myself…until now. Knew nothing about it.
Picked this up at a local greenhouse, watered it once a week for about two months, then separated it. I hope it survives the separation. 🤞

Things I learned and did along the way:
* I’m using Espoma African Violet potting soil
* I’m using oyampa pots and they really do work. Ahh, the magic of capillary action
* I found mealy bugs and dabbed them using a q-tip and 70% isopropyl alcohol
